You are selling Hell. PI's are possibly deadly after 6 weeks. My Gastro doctor Never told me this and I've been on them over 12 YEARS! They also contributed to or are even the main cause of my SIBO. It's ALL a vicious cycle and I'm so depressed I may seek psychiatric help. I feel like there is NO HOPE. It seems that surgery only replaces One Hell for another one.

I just had this done yesterday 6/19/2024. Arrived to the surgery center at 8:20 am. Prepped me until 10:20 am. Entered surgery room at 10:20 am. Out by noon to Recovery/waking up time period. I was home in bed by 2:00pm. It’s medium pain but today just feel a little sore. Modern day medicine & surgery is remarkable. Fantastic surgeon!

Great case. At first I thought that hernia sac was going to go into the scrotum, but turned out to be pretty easy to reduce. Ive had good results fixing inguinoscrotal hernias robotically. Usually able to reduce the entire sac, although sometimes you do have to cut and leave some behind. During the dissection I tend to take the transversalis fascia and see muscle on the medial side, but lateral to the inf epigastrics, switch the plane to only take the peritoneum down and leave transversalis up. Just feel better about not bothering the sensory nerves this way. why use a 12? the mesh should go through an 8 and avoid using the suture passer, which is usually the painful part.

I had this surgery performed this past Thursday afternoon and the only thing I feel is internal soreness and discomfort (forcing me to sleep on my back 👎). I’m taking off this week from work to allow the soreness and such to subside (fingers crossed). Thanks for the video as I have a new found respect for the doctor and team which performed such, but, am dreading the hospital bill which awaits me 😢. I just wonder what they did with the actual hernia?? Was it extracted through one of the ports? Was it left behind to be pooped out? 🤷‍♂️

Took two doctors and 5 years to get someone to repair my knee. Torn menicus and need for chondroplasty. NO arthritis at 69. Very active skier and hiker. Why it took so long, suffering and my knee got worse as time went on. Recovering post op day 4.

Had this done after lithotripsy had no effect on my stone wedged in my ureter. The procedure itself was fine, it could have been in and out of the hospital in a day but by the time I was lined up to do mine they thought I might as well stop over night just to rest. The surgeon wasn’t sure whether I’d need a stent or not and at first he suggested I might need on left in that I take out myself after 3 days, which made me wince (I’m male) but after I came to from the procedure I was told it needed something more substantial and it was instead a stent that would be left in for 6 weeks. The first 3 days I peed blood but that’s perfectly normal, the worst bit about the whole thing is the stent, you can manage with it going about your regular life but you certainly feel it when you need to go to the toilet, if you’ve dealt with kidney stone pain it’s sort of like that but while you empty your bladder and then the pain fades quite quickly after, the first few weeks your kidney feels a little tender for about 5 to 10 minutes after you’ve been. I’m two weeks down now with a stent and can get on with most things, just trying not to lift anything too heavy and being mindful of emptying my bladder either before leaving the house or in a comfortable environment

Great work doctor Carter .. I LOVE the way you mention anatomical structures during the surgery , I actually learned a lot today . I'm currently studying for Step2 and I am considering applying for general surgery , I have a question if you don't mind : why only one suture on each side of the mesh ? doesn't that make it loose ? or is it that it becomes weaker if we added more ? THANK you so much for your time .

Thank you for not perpetuating the myth of neprelysin inhibition. There simply is no evidence the one and only so called drug for this actually does anything. The truth is out there but hard to find. Check out what Dr Poses and Dr Prasad have pointed out regarding this nonsense invented by a harvard professor and hyped by a boston hospital. 6 things big pharma doesnt want you to know is a good read

my surgeon told me that the technology for hip resurfacing isn’t advanced enough to get a permanent bind of the new material to the femural head. if there was a way to make that surfacing bind better, he’d recommend it all day long but he said the resurfacing just doesn’t last long enough.

Just had mine done a week ago for my hernia on the left side of my groin. I also have neurofibromatosis nf1. I feel no pain on the area where i had it just my lower stomach area is still kinda sore and tender which im sure its from the Robotic arms. Going back to see the surgeon again next week. If anyone wants more feedback ill get back in touch with all of you. Im 36 yr old guy. For meds they gave me perks with acetaminophen. Then a powder medicine to help me go #2. I couldnt use the bathroom in 2 days due to the pain bending and trying not to force to go but its impossible. I had to take gas x pills to help me go. Now a week later i can do everything fine except still cant do any heavy lifting. Sleeping part sucks cause i hate sleeping on my back and im used to sleeping sideways. Sleeping uncomfortable is the worst but after a week things start coming back to normal. Just dont overdue yourself. Only thing that sucked was i couldnt use my weed pen in over a week but they said dont smoke for 2 weeks but i smoked lightly since i didnt want to take a chance in coughing to hard. Just small hits instead of my normal puffs. Other then that you all will be okay. Feel free to leave a commrnt and ill provide you with any info.

Dear GIBLIB, I have a terminology related question. If inguinal hernia appears only on one side of the body it is called unilateral inguinal hernia, if on both sides it is bilateral inguinal hernia. If a patient has unilateral inguinal hernia, but before the surgery the ultrasound examination discovers the presence of asymptomatic contralateral inguinal hernia, is the correct diagnosis still unilateral inguinal hernia, or it changes to bilateral inguinal hernia? Thanks!
